Update on my shoulder

by Ada on July 30, 2010

It´s been two months since I had surgery on my shoulder and it still isn´t going to well. You could say it´s worse then before I had the surgery. I hardly can move my shoulder. Cleaning the house is a task that I let my husband handle. I can get the laundry down stairs throwing it down the stairs. And he get´s to do the faulding.

Today I went to my physical therapist and they made an echo. It´s still the calcium deposit in the rotator cuff that´s causing all the problems. I have no idea how it´s going to continue from now on.

At least i get the change to improve my watermarble skills.

Here´s a picture of a marble I did last week.

by Ada on July 2, 2010

I have to much time. Besides reading I don’t have much to do. So I started playing with my nailpolishes. This is the result of a second try at watermarble.

Vacation has started for my son and so for me too. Hope you have a great weekend!

I’m still here

by Ada on June 18, 2010

So..its been a while. I’ve had my operation on June 2nd and what was supposed to be a one day hospital stay turned into 3 days. You might say some things went wrong.

Before surgery they where supposed to give me an arm block so I wouldn’t have any pain after.  Which they did offcourse, it just didn’t work at all. They let me sleep through surgery, when I woke up I was in terrible pain so they put morfine into my system. I must have said the crasiest things with that stuf.

I finally could go home on friday morning with 3 different painmeds. Now what was supposed to be a two day sling treatment is now in it’s second week so it might take a bit longer for me to use my arm properly again. I’m trying without inside the house which is going pretty ok if I don’t make any sudden movements.

I’ll try to keep you updated.

Have a nice weekend

PS; I’m typing this with the keyboaard on my lap so don’t look at the misspellings.

Mario Plushies

by Ada on May 15, 2010

Since a few weeks I now that I have to be operated on my shoulder. That for me was the sign not to go into big projects untill all that is behind me.
Now my son loves to play mario games on the nintendo so that got me searching on Ravelry for nice patterns to make.

It got me on Wolfdreamers blog . She has some beautiful patterns written out.  And since I have a lot of leftovers from his blanket I sat down with a crochet hook and the patterns.

These are the ones I made for him already. Mushrooms all over.  From top to bottom, Giant, 1-up, normal and mini mushroom.

And offcourse Mario has to be part of the game

All together now

I am working on Goomba right now. Although my son has made a perfect order as which to make next. I guess I better get going again. Have a nice weekend!!

Dishcloth and Soapsavers

by Ada on April 13, 2010

It’s to nice outside to be at the computer to long. While outside enjoying the sun I finished the March Dishcloth from Krisknits and made some soapsavers.

I’m planning to make a few more soapsavers since I have lots of leftovers from the afghan that I made.

Picture time

by Ada on April 1, 2010

Finally I had time to take pictures. I was busy the last week and then yesterday we had a viewer for our house so I had to clean the whole place up before they came.

This morning I had all the time in the world so I packed my camera and took the pictures of projects I am working on or was working on.

First I have finished the february dishcloth from KrisKnits KAL. I love her designs and can’t wait to finish the March Cloth.

The in between clues I was working on a filet crochet pattern. Just to try if I could manage it.

After I finished the dishcloth I started this ripple blanket

And I also made this bag which I still have to try out when doing the grocery shopping.

I loved making this bag and already started a pink one. Well lets just say that my cotton stash is finally getting less then it was when I started.

I’m still knitting on socks too. I didn’t get a very good picture off them so you’ll have to wait untill the weather improves.

No words to describe it. So I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Now I have time for some knitting again. Have a nice day!
